SORGED ESC Project volunteering in Turkey

SORGED ESC Project is a European Solidarity Corps programme aimed at building youth participation through sport, art, environmental initiatives and social projects.

Volunteers become part of an international team that helps local young people uncover their talents, build leadership qualities and strengthen a sense of solidarity.

• ways to engage young people through sport and art
• sustainable development and environmental protection practices
• social entrepreneurship and creative forms of learning
• volunteering in disaster recovery
• approaches to promoting a healthy lifestyle

• creative and educational activities run by the volunteers themselves
• environmental and social initiatives for the benefit of the local community
• intercultural learning and building leadership through hands-on experience

• international experience and stronger soft skills
• non-formal education and project management tools
• better English and intercultural communication
• an understanding of sustainable development and environmental responsibility

Active, creative and open young people (aged 18–30) who:

• are interested in sport, art, the environment and entrepreneurship
• speak conversational English
• are ready for teamwork and new challenges
• are responsible, tolerant and motivated to learn
